OVERVIEW

Gin Rummy is a strategy-based card game that has stood the test of time. The objective is to arrange your hand in a way that minimizes "deadwood," which refers to cards that cannot be used to form sets or runs. The game concludes when a player reaches the target score of 100 points, challenging players to outsmart their opponents and emerge victorious.


GUIDELINES

  1. Objective: Reduce the amount of "deadwood" in your hand by creating sets and runs.
  • Sets: Collections of cards with the same rank (e.g., three 7s).
  • Runs: Sequentially ordered cards of the same suit (e.g., 4, 5, 6 of Hearts).
  1. Scoring:
  • Deadwood points belonging to your opponent are added to your score.
  • Knocking or achieving "go gin" (no deadwood) maximizes your points.
  1. Victory:
  • The game concludes when a player reaches or exceeds 100 points.
  • Beware of letting your opponent reach 100 points before you do!
